Join the Egyptian-American Rule of Law Association in celebrating our first annual galas! We'll be featuring internationally renowned actor and activist Khaled Abol Naga, comedian Eman Morgan, and Brookings Nonresident Fellow Mirette Mabrouk.

The galas will be taking place on the following dates and at the following locations:
Dallas, Texas area in October 27, at the Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco Hotel, Convention Center & Spa;
Detroit, Michigan area in October 28, at Petruzzello's Banquet and Conference Center; and
Newark, New Jersey in November 3, at the Newark Club

Khaled Abol Naga is an Egyptian actor, TV host, producer and director. He is a Human and Child rights activist and has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since his appointment in 2007. He has worked across a variety of media, including theatre, radio, television and film.

Eman Morgan is an Egyptian-American comedian. He is featured in the feature film, "Just Like Us" which premiered at 2010 Tribeca Film Festival, and in the Showtime Special "Bridging The Gap."

Mirette F. Mabrouk is director of communications for the Economic Research Forum (ERF), and a nonresident fellow at the Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World, under the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at Brookings. She was formerly associate director for publishing operations at the American University in Cairo Press. Mabrouk has over 20 years of experience in journalism.

The galas are sponsored and organized by the Egyptian-American Rule of Law Association (EARLA). Based in Washington, DC, EARLA aims to educate and train Egyptian lawyers, judges, and civil society advocates to implement legal reforms necessary for a sustainable Egyptian democracy.
